Safety

Special rules for base stations

T-Mobile develops and maintains its antenna installations according to technical requirements and (inter)national instructions. This is undertaken by reputable contractors and maintenance companies who are under the supervision of T-Mobile specialists.

Rules for the placement of antenna installations
The rules and conditions for the placing of antennas are recorded by the government in the National Antenna Policy. These rules and conditions are discussed more elaborately in the National Antenna Policy

Working safely through the code of conduct
T-Mobile attaches great importance to the fact that the work at the network takes place safely. For this reason, a code of conduct for working safely at antenna locations  (Dutch pdf, 468 KB) has been drawn up.

Working at a safe distance
Standards have been laid down for working on a roof with an antenna installation. The limit of 61 Volts per metre is reached at about 1 metre from the antenna. As an extra safety rule, operators have to keep a standard distance of 3 metres from the antenna.
